Producer. Director. Storyteller. 

Mike Alu is an Emmy award winning producer director with over 30 years’ experience in  film and television production.  At the age of 21 Alu directed news for KTTV, Los Angeles.  After 8 years with KTTV,  Alu went on to direct and produce a large variety of shows and segments in the competitive Hollywood market.  His credits include shows for ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, ESPN, King World, Disney, Smith- Hemion Productions, The Food Network and others.


In 1996 Alu created Barrett - Alu Communications which created a syndicated package of children’s programming and moved to Columbus Ohio.  In less than 3 years, the programming was delivered to 16 million households making it the fastest growing syndicate at that time.  Alu sold Barrett - Alu communications to a venture capital company. After the sale Alu worked for Horizons companies, A Columbus based media company.  At Horizons, he produced shows for Fox sports and the Fitness Channel.


Alu continues to live in Columbus, where he established Take 2 visual in 2003.  He brings with him the creative and professional skills homed in a competitive television market to create professional media product in the Midwest.


Throughout his career, he has produced and directed a broad range of topics from interviews with top executives and United States Presidents to corporate training, brand videos, legal videos, television shows and more.

An avid sports fan, Alu is the public address announcer for The Ohio Machine, the Ohio Dominican Panthers, Bishop Watterson Football and Baseball and is the backup for the Columbus Bluejackets and the Columbus Clippers.

Alu Also freelances in the sports broadcast market and is currently the broadcast director for the third season of Call of Duty World League for  Activision/Blizzard Entertainment
